Link Exchange Directory is submission or death?

Today there are many so-called social networking service (SNS) providers out there. Among them, the best known are Facebook and Twitter and other social media sites. All are characterized by highly interactive and user friendly.

This is good news for webmasters who are strong for unique visitors to their websites. Previously, in addition to page optimization, like Search Engine Optimization (SEO), they achieve this primarily through the traditional methods of building links, including to search engines, link exchange and submission of the directory. Now they aware of the effectiveness of these SNS sites by getting their sites exposed to a large group of potential visitors within a relatively short time. Consequently, much of their promotional efforts through to these sites SNS.

I do not mean they are wrong. Instead, I am still surprised by the quick adaptation of the webmasters and correct any new technology in the field of Internet marketing. Contact as an example. Facebook takes the second position in the Alexa Top 500 sites, immediately after, but for Google Yahoo. Some analysts even predict that by 2011 traffic will exceed Facebook Google. I'll be the stupidest webmaster in the world if I did not follow the trend to greater efforts to ensure adequate sites like Facebook to promote NHS objective.

However, spending adequate promotion for SNS sites do not necessarily mean we all the webmasters of the importance and effectiveness of the link exchange and directory submission ignored. (Here I did not mention the search engine submission, because with a host of free submission tool available here and there, the job submission search engine is simply a matter of mouse clicking and webmasters are therefore always ready to do that.)

Google is still number one. In general, you can expect the heavy traffic of your site from Google. Therefore, link exchange and directory submission still contribute to your promotion towards Google buzz, like the Page Rank (PR). Some people claim that Google changed its algorithm so that the PR backlinks obtained from the link exchange and directory submission are fewer voices in your PR before. I do not see it. Even if what they said is true, it probably means that Google factors into consideration when calculating the PR of each website, the average vote, each factor causes, such as the return link, seems less. Anyway, based on the technique of search engine public today by Google, it is unlikely that they performed relatively well in search engine rankings to achieve without thinking seriously about back links. This fact will not change until the real next generation of smart search engines fate.

On the other hand, although no doubt these SNS sites by Facebook are more effective in promoting traditional web links or directories, they still have a long way to the entire Internet to dominate. Not too excited about the beautiful things on the internet. Remember how many people during the crisis provoked enthusiasm Internet around the year 2000? Remember how video sharing sites geld venture capital burnt "as the paper in recent years? Stay cool my friends! We must be the real benefits that the SNS sites will bring us, and enjoy a well-understand way. Apart from that, we must continue efforts to invest in energy as the traditional link exchange and directory submission to promote without being misled by exaggerated SNS buzzing.

In addition, SNS websites usually needs to be done before going to work in promoting effective. Put in other words, you need to build your social network. The problem is, you have a tremendous amount of effort this kind of social network to build. Obviously you can not import your contacts e-mail or other in real life in your social network directly, or because you do not want your friends in real life or colleagues to know what you're doing internet, or because there are rarely people in quit your life have the same interest with you. Therefore you need to build this social network from scratch. The time it takes at least comparable, if not more, than turn left to exchange with other webmasters or your links to directories.

Arriving here, you probably have my PhD focused point.SNS is much more effective if you manage to do this. However, as effective promotion focused NHS, you can not afford to ignore the importance of link exchange and directory submission in any way, because Google is still king and the Internet, because SNS is still its infancy stage.
