Guidelines for a successful link exchange program

Webmasters looking for ways to better search engine rankings and drive traffic to their site every day to get. One way they achieve this is to exchange links with other websites. For a link exchange program to be beneficial, it must focus on building a strong exchange program correctly.

Some search engines like Google, can base your rankings by the number of incoming links you have. So you might think ... and it can be an easy task, I will work on exchanging links with a website that is willing to participate.

It's not as easy as sending an email to all webmasters out there. The biggest mistake you can do is link to sites that are not relevant to the theme of your website. Search engines frown sites that point to another is irrelevant. You risk the chance of being punished and banned from their search results. So clearly, this is not a good approach.

The best way to build a solid program is to exchange links with sites only focus and that customers would be interested in your products or services. If you are a beginner, a good rule is to try to a few hours one or two days a week to spend while focusing on link building. This requires effort on your part, but the time you spend results fairly quickly.

You can start by doing a search using the keywords that relate to your website. Take the time to each site of interest to see. If you visit each site, try as many pages as you can. If it seems like a lot of time, never judge a website that comes from their homepage. You want to make sure that their site is that you recommend to your viewers.

If you consult these sites, another factor to consider is how their website is setting up a link exchange program.

Is there a link to their main link page (resources, link partners, reciprocal links page, etc.) is clearly visible on their homepage? You do not want to expand links with sites that hide or bury the link to their trading partners to exchange.

Are they announce their partners in the appropriate category link on their main page links? If your program is building a link, it is important to your marketing in the relevant categories. You will notice that your Exchange partners can fall into several categories, such as web design, home business opportunities, software, etc. to display them in the correct categories, viewers can access the binding interest.

On each of the category pages, they list more than 25 ads per page? It is best to keep each category page is limited to 25 ads per page. If a web page with links where it costs a lot of scrolling, change your link is clicked on are slim. One solution to this is when each class begins to grow their list in alphabetical order, but the category on separate pages to break. For example say you use web design as your category, you can use Web Design (A to M) Web Design (NZ) as your second category.

What their site offers useful content, or have a lot of misleading information? If the site that you exchange links with many misleading information, the viewers in most cases not on the site long enough to even out your link. Consider the links you recommend a play on the reputation of your company.

The other link exchanges to avoid:

There are several ways you can exchange links with other sites, but the following are not recommended.

Automated Link: This software automatically search and send requests by e-mail for a link exchange with other sites. The biggest problem with most software association is that some links to research can not be targeted to your site.

You can end up a lot of answers from this interesting websites you would not waste time on your part just by looking at these sites alone.

Farm Link: This is a resounding no! These sites are strictly implemented to link popularity. Anyone can list their sites on their times that you have registered with them. Some link farms can have thousands of sites that have agreed to do a link exchange. Everyone who participates must agree to link to all sites on the list.

The problems are:

* No organization or classified with those links.

* Most sites will be relevant for you.

* Your link can appear on a page that it is difficult to find.

* Search engines penalize sites that link companies use to link popularity.

It would be far better to avoid using link farms. It is considered an artificial means to inflate the link popularity of more negative than positive.

FFA Sites: The search engines see this as an artificial way to your link popularity. FFA (Free For All) sites is considered the same as link farms. Go to the risk of your site banned from their search results.

Proposal Links:

Once you have found a suitable site for a link exchange, find the coordinates of the site administrator, and provide them an e-mail. If the contact contains the name of webmasters, make sure your e-mail customized using their name in the subject line and in the title.

You want your name, URL, a brief description of your site and contact information. In the body of the e-mail, call it what you like about their site, and the advantages of both, you can receive by exchanging links.

There are traders who believe that before a potential link partner an e-mail, you have their link on your site first to add. Then in your e-mail that you have added to their site and let them know the location of their relationship. This option is used to help a "yes" to encourage the webmaster.

Our advice on this option must be selective when you use this method. Remember, all sites agree to exchange links with you to do. Those who are a powerful source of your website offer will be an improvement. Those who have the theme of your site, but not necessarily a robust tool takes you back in time and remove their link.

The idea is that all e-mail approach you use, it will be short and precise, you do not need a book to send. If the person is interested in exchanging links with you, they will reply to your e-mail to go over the details.
